Environmental Development Consultant
David brings over 40 years’ experience as Project Director, Team Leader and Technical Expert on a wide range of agribusiness, urban and rural infrastructure development projects in Africa, the Middle East, the Indian Sub-Continent and Southeast Asia, including working in Indonesia for over 30 years on bi-lateral, multi-lateral and private sector funded development projects.
His expertise extends to land-use planning, rural and urban infrastructure planning, land evaluation for tropical agriculture, soil and water conservation, watershed management, climate change adaption, analysis of meteorological and climatological data, soil surveys, geomorphology and vegetation surveys including interpretation of all types of remotely sensed imagery.
Project and Corporate Finance Consultant
Perry is a senior consultant and attorney specializing in project management, project and corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions with over 25 years’ professional experience in private practice and as a General Counsel of multinational corporations. Perry has led various deals in the Energy, Petrochemicals, Offshore Marine Services businesses. He is based in Indonesia since 2011 and speaks fluent Indonesian.
Senior Projects Manager
Rahmad Mudjiono is a qualified civil engineer with over 20 years’ experience in general construction and mining, including 14 years as project manager for projects in Java, Papua, Seram, Kalimantan, Halmahera and Sulawesi. He is experienced in all stages of greenfield project development, including aggregation and acquisition of land, feasibility studies and geotechnical surveys, preparation of prequalification and tender documents, and project monitoring and control. He is typically the lead point of contact with both local and regional government agencies and international contractors and consultants.
Pak Rahmad has a Masters Degree in Project Management with qualifications in FIDIC contract management and ISO 9000.
Senior Environmental Consultant
Tariq Khalil is a versatile consultant offering expertise to clients requiring environmental and social risk management. He provides initial environmental and social due diligence audits, technical studies, environmental impact assessments through to sustainable engineering design for construction and operation. His expertise has grown from assignments as consultant, contractor and client involving large scale site investigations for the design and execution of remediation works for asset disposal, volume residential property, high visibility regeneration projects, (e.g. London Olympics) and capital infrastructure, (e.g. Channel Tunnel Rail Link).
Since mid-2008, Dr Khalil has been based in Singapore and Jakarta delivering E&S due diligence, environmental impact assessments (AMDAL) and environmental engineering design services for responsible investors and developers. He has helped many clients better align projects with ADB and IFC / Equator Principle lender standards such as Vale Indonesia and BP’s Tangguh Train 3 Expansion. Projects have included new developments and the expansion of existing production facilities to new infrastructure such as ports, roads and renewable energy.
DAVID BOOTH MBE
David is a civil engineer with over 30 years’ experience managing some of the largest and most complex construction projects in UK and various developing countries. After identifying the most impoverished communities in Indonesia in mountainous East Bali, he established the Ekoturin Foundation in 1998 [known since 1999 as East Bali Poverty Project]. In recognition of his success in sustainable poverty alleviation programmes, prioritizing the health, nutrition and education of illiterate children in these mountain communities, he was awarded the MBE (Member of The Order of The British Empire) for “Services to sustainable development in rural East Bali, Indonesia” in Queen Elizabeth II’s Birthday Honours List in 2004.
Dr. Kemsley, a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry is a renowned expert in cement technology. His 35 years experience in the cement industry in research and / or on operational plants around the world has given him extensive experience and knowledge of the fuels and operations of many types of kilns.
His experience in Indonesia includes five years at Semen Andalas as Technical manager and lead researcher on a Government study into greenhouse gas emissions in the cement industry. He has also held senior posts with Lafarge and Blue Circle in Africa and Asia; his position with Lafarge as training manger compliments his hands on experiences.
Mike Hannah is a freelance engineer/geologist, experienced in the exploration, evaluation and extraction of gypsum, cement raw materials, base metals and gold from various projects in Europe, Africa and South East Asia. He has also been involved in the evaluation and management of land fill cell sites in the UK.
He has undertaken several projects in Indonesia including as manager of the Quality Control Department for a major dam construction project in South Sulawesi and currently as advisor to a major mining company on the geological aspects of exploration and extraction of cement raw materials in West Papua. Mike is proficient in the Indonesian language.
Senior Project Advisor
Mark brings a wealth of knowledge from range of sectors, specialising in IT, Finance, Management, Shipping, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure and Bulk Water provision. He has most recently acted as commissioner on a bulk water supply project from inception through contract negotiations, financing and construction to commissioning and operation. Mark has also worked on water project development consulting briefs and a macro scale industry review for the Indonesian Infrastructure Imitative.
